TIWLT Logo
The Thousand Islands Watershed Land Trust (TIWLT) is arguably the most important land trust in North America. Why this is so, is explained in the video below. It takes just 90 seconds of your time, so please watch and understand why this little place is so important to everyone and everything, in North America.

The Thousand Islands Watershed is situated at what is likely the most important migratory crossroads in all of North America and is overflowing with communities of plants and animals like no other place. This is nature’s ‘crossroads of the continent’, an intersection of migration routes where five forest regions meet and intermingle. Conserving habitat at this migration route crossroads is vital to our own continued pursuit of life here.

Our role

The people at TIWLT do an incredible job. There are biologists, engineers, accountants and volunteers all working towards one common goal; protect Land, Life, Learning and Legacies… 4ever! While they are all good at what they do, they are not experts in Integrated Storytelling. We are!

What we did

Helping TIWLT communicate is what all of us at LTR want to do, and is our way of giving back and supporting their life critical work. We started by deconstructing their brand to find what was at their core, in terms of values and mission. We then designed a new logo to communicate that in a memorable fashion. We built a brand new website and information hierarchy. We rewrote all content to ensure it spoke in layman terms and we also created a number of videos that take viewers to the centre of everything TIWLT does. We created new templates for the social media platforms and provided usage guides, schedules and brand standards. Postcards, letterhead, business cards and newsletters were all part of the LTR 360-degree communication package. In providing TIWLT with all the tools they need, we also created a secure online donations portal with automated tax receipts.

Please spend a few moments on TIWLT’s site and learn how important their work is. For as little as $45 you can become a member or contribute $100 to the Glen Elbe Experience Centre to have your name added to the ‘4ever Wall’.
